Ethan turns 6 months old this week
Ethan and I will be visiting family in Spokane this week when he turns 6 months old. This week Ethan got very good at sitting up unassisted. I can't believe how quickly he went from wobbly sitting to doing it all on his own for minutes. He still thinks Daddy is super funny. Jeremy can just smile and talk to him and it makes Ethan laugh. We went to baby play group today and met a girl named Giaga. She was born on the same day as Ethan at the same hospital! She is super cute and small like Ethan. When we were getting ready to leave, we held the babies close to one another to say goodbye. They held hands and exchanged smiles. It was really cute! We also took a trip to Albany this week. Ethan saw old friends and made new ones.

Seattle Visit
We had a wonderful trip to Seattle over the weekend. Ethan got to catch up with his Auntie Lynette, Uncle Doug, Lu, and Mike. He then spent a day with his Grandma and Papa. He snuggled, played, had an amazing photo shoot, and went for a couple of walks in his bear suit. When we returned home he gave up his little bed. He is sleeping directly in his crib now. The first night he turned sideways and dangled his toes out the side.

Ethan is 24 weeks old today
Ethan is getting so big-14 pounds, 10 ounces! He is still experimenting with his voice but luckily he has lost interest in the screaming. Now he makes a sound like the count, ha-ha-ha. He thinks Jeremy is super funny. It is adorable to watch them giggle together. He is getting much more expressive. He will push things away if he is frustrated and what you have offered is not what he wants. He can sit up unassisted for a few seconds like a little tripod with his hands resting on his feet or the ground.
We went to the baby play group at the library yesterday. He watched everything very intently especially the bubbles that floated around the babies. This week they brought out a parachute. The babies laid on their backs and the moms lifted it up and down over them. Ethan got scared though so I picked him up and he sat on my lap:)
New decorations! The quilt is special and was given to Ethan by his Auntie Lynette |
