Helping Around the House

Ethan loves to help clear the dishes after dinner, set the napkins on the table, dump the dust pan in the garbage, squeeze toothpaste on his brush, hang shirts on hangers, and his favorite, wash dishes.
Ethan says "lope, lope" for soap and "rain" for the spray of water when he washes dishes

Mother's Day Weekend

I had a truly fantastic Mother's Day Weekend.  Friday morning we put Ethan in the pack and went to Beaver Marsh.  In the afternoon we had frozen yogurt and I picked out my present- new plants for the porch.  Woo hoo!!  Saturday we had a lovely visit and a yummy Thai lunch with Grammy Patti and Grandpa Steve.  We kicked off Sunday morning with Jeremy making us DELICIOUS rhubarb-strawberry jam for our waffles and then headed off with Ethan in the pack once more to Burnt Bridge Creek Trail.  I am so grateful for my wonderful family!
Jeremy and Ethan drew a beautiful Mother's Day mural on our porch

Ethan and Appa

Ethan said "ride, ride" as he sat atop Appa.  I grabbed the camera and asked Ethan to pose for a picture.  He did!  So cute.

Selfie

So much of the time I am behind the camera.  To get more pictures of Ethan and I together I have resorted to the...SELFIE!!

Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden

Ethan and I visited the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden today.  Ethan chased geese, quacked at ducks, and checked out all the locks on the out buildings.  (He loves locks and keys!)  It was a quick trip due to ponds, water falls and a small lake all beckoning Ethan to jump in or at the very least walk on the uneven rocks surrounding them.  After the garden we picnicked on a grassy hill in the sunshine.

Urban Backpacking with Mom and Dad

Yesterday we walked along the Burnt Bridge Creek Trail.  Ethan loves riding in the pack and playing with the buckles when he is not in it.  We are looking forward to many outdoor adventures this spring and summer!

Ethan's New Ride

Jeremy wanted to get Ethan a special toy after missing his little boy for nearly 2 weeks.  This toddler quad goes a smoking 1.5 mph.

Ethan says "Hat.  Hat.  Ride.  Ride."

Easter with Papa Dan

Ethan and I were a bit jet lagged, but we were happy to celebrate Easter with Jeremy and a visit from Papa Dan.
