Playing Digger

Ethan has a fantastic imagination which his pediatrician said is very advanced and shows fantastic brain development.  This makes this mama feel very proud and grateful that I have such a special little boy:)
These jammies were a perfect birthday gift from Grammy Patti and Grampy Steve.  Ethan is currently very interested in diggers and cranes, real or made out of his breakfast sausage;)

Happy 2nd Birthday Ethan!

Ethan received the gift of Hand-Foot-Mouth Disease the day before his 2nd Birthday.  Sad.  He had a drooly mouth full of painful canker sores and a heavy rash on his bum.  It effected his eating and sleeping but in general he was in good spirits and bounced back quickly.  We had planned to visit the aquarium with Grammy Patti and Grandpa Steve but we scaled back our plans to a quick, fun ride on the choo choo train at the mall after a few days of recuperation instead.
I am so proud of our little boy.  He is confident, friendly, loving & adventurous.  He tests my patience and makes us laugh every day.  Every time he says "tiny bit" I laugh at myself...I didn't realize how much I say that!  Haha.  His laughter and hugs are the best.

Happy 2nd Birthday Ethan!!

I had pulled the meat off for Ethan, but he wanted to eat "bone" just like Mommy and Daddy

Ethan's 2nd Campout

Last weekend we camped at Battle Ground Lake.  Ethan exclaimed "hot dogs" as we pulled into our campsite.  He has learned that when we sleep in a tent, that's what we eat:)  We saw frogs, dragonflies and fish during our hike around the lake.
Too hot and humid for a shirt

Ethan said "noise" and ran to the ice cooler to listen to it hum

Ethan still loves playing with water.  He fills his bucket before taking it to Dad.

Turning 2 Soon

Ethan and I have been practicing something for his birthday.  When I ask him how old he is, he should say "two" and show me 2 fingers.  So I ask, "Ethan how old are you going to be on your birthday?"  and he ALWAYS replies, "Dada".  He is such a funny little boy:)
The dirtiest he has ever been.  Strawberries from the garden and mud up to his ankles
Still the cutest little boy ever!
