Ethan in April

Ethan is getting so big.  He must hear it a lot because he will randomly tell me "I am getting soooo big".  Haha

Ethan and I joined a meet-up group for Moms and toddlers.  It has been great!  Good play for Ethan and nice Moms for me to chat with.  Wish we would have found them sooner....

Playing on the firetruck during one of our meet ups

Ethan had a couple of days where he was intrigued with my eye shadow.  Here he is sporting green on his cheek.

Ethan told me he was typing to Grandma Sandy on my digital food thermometer.  Love it;)

Our super observant toddler noticed this silk moth one morning when we were headed out the door.  We then found a cracked robin's egg further down the sidewalk!  The moth visited us for about a week and then was gone.

 LOVES corn on the cob

This is Ethan's wheel barrow coffee maker.  He and Jeremy are the coolest!!

Easter Day

We learned what a huge,  free egg hunt is like....thanks, but never again.

Having fun on Daddy's shoulders

At the starting line

 Spinning before the egg hunt

Happy 94th Birthday Great Grandma Ruth!

Jeremy's Grandma celebrated her 94th birthday.  We had a fun lunch out and then had cake and ice cream at Ruth's adorable apartment in Salem.  Everyone wished Jeremy could have been there!  Next time....
Pinwheeling with Great Grandma Ruth

Ethan had so much fun playing with Gavin and Ava!  At the restaurant, Gavin read them Peter Rabbit.

 Visiting and lunching

Love this!  I caught Ethan quietly making ripples in Great Grandma's birdbath.

The perfect group shot;)

Easter Excitement

Easter hasn't been this fun since I was a kid and still thought chocolate bunnies tasted good.  Haha;)  Ethan's excitement for coloring, hiding and finding eggs is so charming.  Ethan and I went to an egg hunt yesterday and we are looking forward to going to another with Jeremy on Sunday.

Unwrapping egg dye sent from Grammy Patti and Grampy Steve.

He got the hugest smile and said, "Chocolate.  My favorite!"  It was precious in his sweet little boy voice.

Ethan really liked the "bunny dog".  He hugged it as I photographed him.

Carefully dumping the vinegar.  He was really focused during the whole process.

Watching and waiting...

His very first Easter Egg!!

Daddy shows him the technique of first drawing on the egg with a crayon.

I asked him to smile....guess I should have asked him to frown:)

Magic Fingers

Magic finger paints....I don't know how you work, but you are cool!  Thank you Nanny T and Papa Bear for the fun  Easter gifts!  Ethan was initially baffled and not very pleased about finger painting in a different way.  It was very 2 of him;)  When we gave it a second try he loved it!

He gave this to me and told me he made it for me!! I was so excited!  Unsolicited hugs, kisses and artwork are the best!

Cuddling after Daddy helps him paint

Srarts out clear and colors appear when it's on a special type of paper

Butterfly

I don't like Ethan to play with his food.  I hate it when he gets overzealous and the food starts flying off the tray.  But I love the creative, complex stories he has recently started telling with his left over food.  The other day he was making little piles calling them "big tires", "sticky tires" and "huge tires".  Often times it's rockets.  On this day he wiped strawberry juice around and told me it was a butterfly.

 Berry massacre

Birthday Party

Last weekend we went to a really fun birthday party (first time Ethan swung a bat at a pinata!!).  The next day Ethan wanted Daddy to make cupcakes out of duplos and we had our own birthday party with all of his stuffed animals.
 Blowing out the candles

Buckey, Little Deer, Little Hootie, Ethan, Bearnard, Little Dog, and Appa all have duplo cupcakes

It made Ethan giggle and toss all the animals around when I told him Little Dog was trying to eat all the cupcakes:)

How he Rolls

Ethan hasn't gotten the hang of pedaling his hand-me-down trike yet.  I love that he finds it more fun to tip it over and hurl pine cones off the back wheel or "fix" it with his little boy tools.
