Celebrating Turning 7 Months Old By Moving

We are moving into a 2 bedroom apartment in our complex.  We are excited but it is going to cut into our blog time for awhile.  Here are some cute pictures from this past week to hold everyone over for a while.
He is newly interested in zippers and strings on hoodies, has 3 teeth coming in, and is sleeping in his crib again thankfully. He likes carrots, sweet potatoes, pears, bananas, and rice cereal and surprisingly does not like apple sauce.

I heard Ethan wake up from a nap and found him this way!

He loves looking at things and people upside down

Roberts Family Get Together

Last weekend Ethan and I had the pleasure of meeting Jeremy's Dad's side of the family.  Ethan was comfortable and quickly his very smiley self.  He met his great grandma (lovely and 94!), great aunts, great uncles, and great cousins.  I wish I had more pictures!  I am realizing I hold him so much I don't pick up the camera as much as I would like to.  I actually didn't shoot any of these.  Thank you to Gary, Jeremy's Dad, for sharing these.

Reading a Book with Dad

Ethan is teething and this book is great for reading and chewing.

Ethan with His First Sock Monkey

Ethan was given this adorable sock monkey by his Grandpa and Grandma Roberts.  I can't wait until he grows into the matching jammies.  So cute!  It won't be long.  We retired his Thanksgiving jammies (finally!!)  this week and he is now wearing 6-9 months clothes.

Farewell "My First Thanksgiving" jammies.
You brought smiles to many on Thanksgiving day and for months afterwards

Ethan's 6 Month Check Up

Ethan turned 28 weeks old on Tuesday.  He had a check up that revealed he is 15 pounds, 5 ounces and 26 inches long.   He still has a little cold so we postponed his scheduled immunizations until next week.  He has been dining on rice cereal this week and learning to use a sipping cup.  He makes a funny face every time he uses it correctly and tastes water.
Even with a little cold, Ethan can really move in the jumparoo now

A First for Ethan and Dad

Ethan strapped on a bib, sat down in his new high chair and ate rice cereal like a champ.  This was the first time Jeremy has fed Ethan!  It was a really special moment for me.

Visiting Spokane

Despite Ethan and I returning with colds (Ethan's first) we had a fantastic time visiting family and friends in Spokane. The night we arrived, Ethan met his Auntie Cherie and cousins, Carly-6 and Drew-3, for the first time.  They greeted him by throwing open the front door and happily squealing "ETHAN"!  Which made Ethan cry.  Auntie Cherie had been looking forward to cuddling a little baby.  I passed over Ethan and he began to cry.  Loud play and even Papa's sneezes made the little guy cry.  He just wanted mama to hold him.  Flattering but revealing too.  I had not expected him to act that way but it makes sense.  His days are filled with mellow, baby play and a lot of mom time.  It took a few days for him to become comfortable.  Once he did, he had a great time.  Carly loves holding him.  She is a great big cousin!  Drew always had questions about him, "why did Ethan turn into a baby?" and "do you blow on baby Ethan's tummy?" were my two favorite.

A great picture with Papa Dan !  Yes, that is a Christmas tree...in February.  Papa wanted to keep it up until the Minnesotans were able to come home for the holidays.
