19 Months Old

Our special little boy is 19 months old!  His vocabulary is HUGE.  I don't know how many words children his age typically say, but I have to believe he is well above average.  He comments constantly on things in his surroundings.  "Light", "water" (puddles, dripping from drain pipes, splatters on windows....), and "hole"  are very popular topics.  Pointing out babies, men, and uttos gets me laughing.  "Babies" can be babies, kids his age,or pictures of himself on the fridge.  Our neighbor Vickie was a "man" he spotted from our window, and "uttos" are usually things that have fallen on the floor at a store like a shirt off of a hanger, a piece of garbage, or a mushroom in the produce department.  "Stuck" is one of the funnier concepts he now understands.  He had us laughing when he shut himself in the bathroom and then yelled "stuck, stuck".  He can say "airplane" and spots them in the sky.  He asks to go "bye bye" all day long, but like a true toddler, he will run away when it's actually time to put on his shoes and jackets.

Dad is a little jealous that Ethan has a drill press and he doesn't ;)

After library story time, Ethan fell asleep with his hand in his snack cup
We made a bird at the library.  Ethan did the coloring and pulled on the tape.
